A Night of Tradition: The Installation of Lodge of Heritage 9344’s New Worshipful Master

On Friday, September 8th, 2023, the Lodge of Heritage 9344 gathered for a momentous occasion—the installation of its new Worshipful Master (WM) for the coming Masonic season. This annual tradition is deeply rooted in Masonic heritage, marking a time of renewal, reflection, and responsibility for the brethren.

The installation followed closely on the heels of St. Giles Lodge 8736’s event just three days prior, with Ferraria, Thistle & Rose, and Corbie Lodges next in line. With all Corby craft lodges holding their installations in September and October, this six-week period is a bustling and meaningful time for Masons across the region.

An Evening of Precision and Brotherhood

WBro Stuart Paul had the honor of installing Br Gareth Evans, a moment two years in the making. His exemplary delivery reflected not only his dedication but also the deep respect for Lodge of Instruction and the Heritage Lodge’s long-standing traditions.

It was also a special night as the brethren welcomed Bro Bill Kelly, whose presence was deeply appreciated and missed in past gatherings. Moments like these remind us that Freemasonry is not just about rituals—it is about lifelong bonds and fraternity.

A Ceremony to Remember

A highlight of the evening was WBro Bob Lyman’s outstanding delivery of the address to the wardens, a testament to the skill and commitment of experienced Masons. APGM WBro Tim Almond seemed pleased with the proceedings—winning a raffle prize surely helped!

As always, the support from Provincial Officers added to the grandeur of the event. Though there were some lighthearted moments—including an unfortunate cropping incident in the evening’s photos—such camaraderie only strengthens the bonds within the lodge.

Looking Ahead to a New Masonic Year

With a new leadership team in place, the brethren of Lodge of Heritage 9344 look forward to another year of growth, service, and tradition. The installation ceremonies are not just formalities; they symbolize the passing of wisdom, the commitment to Masonic values, and the ever-present spirit of brotherhood.

As we move forward, we extend our best wishes to WBro Gareth Evans and his team. May their journey this year be filled with success, unity, and the continued light of Freemasonry.
